Toko Bali Leidschendam

Toko Bali is an Indonesian restaurant and eatery that has been located in the Leidschendam shopping center since 2012. The former “Leidsenhage” shopping center underwent renovation in 2020 and has become the largest shopping mall in the Netherlands. When designing the new establishment, it was important to blend the authentic Indonesian character with a modern twist, while making the food and cuisine the focal point of the design.

Estetics combined with functionality

The refrigerated display cases, which prominently feature the food, are the most important part of the restaurant. The display cases are positioned in such a way that they serve as a point of ordering or inquiry from any part of the restaurant.
The crown of the establishment is designed based on an authentic pagoda roof, which also conceals the installations from view.

A matter of detailing

The design of the restaurant is unified by incorporating decorative elements into its functional components. Each element has been meticulously designed and implemented to form a cohesive whole for various functions. As a result, product sales, food sales, and dining experiences are all integrated into a single entity.
